Is your child making expected progress at school? An Introduction to SEND
Are you concerned that your child is struggling at school? Are you finding he or she is perhaps not developing or progressing in the way that is expected for their age? Has school advised you that your child might need a bit of extra support in the classroom? Are you seeing differing behaviours at home than what the school is telling you?
You might already know, of course that your child has Special Educational Needs but not sure what help you can expect. This webinar will give you an introduction to Special Educational Needs and some tips and thoughts for you to consider for getting the right support for your child’s needs.
This pre recorded webinar is delivered by Charlotte Burnell from EHCP Advocacy, who has been supporting parents with children and young people with special educational needs (SEND) for many years. She is a parent of a young person with SEND and has been through the process and system herself. Charlotte has been a volunteer at SOS! SEN for nine years, a charity supporting families through the legal and bureaucratic maze to get the right provision for their children. She helps families through the Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) process, including appealing decisions of the local authority and at tribunal.
